A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on October 17, 2017 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 79 children present, their ages ranged from 4 months to 5 years. The children were grouped in 8 classrooms. Two staff were assigned to each classroom. Additional support staff were also present in the Center. As reported, 85 children are currently enrolled in the Center. Documentation of the Center's annual fire and health inspections was current. The LI observed the children in each classroom. A variety of activities were observed which included: hand washing, lunch, self-interest play, nap time, afternoon snack and dismissal procedures. A sample of children's and staff records was reviewed. Prescribed medications were observed in the Center. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection . No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found. The inspection was conducted from 10:45am to 4:30pm. If you have any questions, please call (540)309-2310. Thank you.
