A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 10/19/2017 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. 23 children were in the care of 5 staff. Children were observed engaging in a variety of activities and were observed enjoying snack of ravioli, peas and fruit. Emergency preparedness plans, staff trainings, 5 children's records and 5 staff records were reviewed. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.
Standard #: VENDSUB-000-005-B Description: Based on review of attendance, the center did not maintain a written record of daily attendance that documents the arrival and departure of each child in care as it occurs. Evidence: At approximately 11:30am, Child #5 was listed on the arrival attendance sheet for the Toddler room at 7:25am; however Child #5's departure was not identified though the child was signed onto the attendance for the "2s classroom" at 8:30am. Plan of Correction: The health and safety coordinator will do a training for staff to reinforce program policies.
