An unannounced subsidy health and safety inspection was conducted with the director beginning at 7:15 AM and ending at 8:50 AM. There were 23 school aged children in the care of three staff members during the inspection. The children were observed playing with manipulatives and playing games. The children were also observed eating breakfast which consisted of ham and cheese croissant or cereal, baby carrots, and milk. Six children?s records were reviewed and in compliance. Four staff records were reviewed. One medication was reviewed and in compliance. The most recent emergency escape drill was documented as September 18, 2017. The most recent shelter in place drill was documented as September 19, 2017. The most recent lock-down drill was documented as September 23, 2017.The most recent fire inspection was documented as February 22, 2017. Standard #: VENDSUB-000-012-B Description: Based on a review of documentation, the center did not have documentation of completion of pre-service training for all staff within 30 days of employment or 90 days from subsidy vendor approval. Evidence: Staff A did not have documentation of completion of pre-service training in the staff record. Plan of Correction: The center will obtain documentation for the completed pre-service training and place it in the staff record.
