An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 2:00pm-3:30pm. There were 40 school age children directly supervised by 4 staff. Children were observed listening and interacting with the special guest speaker, a police officer from the local department. Children were also playing in the gym, playing board games, and coloring. There was an abundant supply of materials for the children. Staff-to-child ratios were in compliance. The center was clean and organized. An area of non-compliance is identified in the Violation Notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-E Description: Based on observation and six medications inspected, one medication for a child was not labeled with a child's name, the dosage amount and the time or times to be given. Evidence: Child A has a medication which is not labeled with their name, dosage amount and the times to be given. Plan of Correction: We will get the information onto the medication.
