During the inspection, licensing representative discussed with provider upcoming deadline for new staff to complete required preservice training.
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 11/20/2017 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. An unannounced mandated inspection was conducted from 9:30am - 1:00pm. Upon arrival 20 children were in the care of 4 staff present. Licensing representative observed children during arts and crafts, storytime, rhyming games, and lunch. Inspector reviewed medications, allergy action plans, emergency procedures, allergy postings and other documents. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.
Standard #: VENDSUB-000-005-B Description: Based on review of attendance, documentation of arrival and departure for children as it occurred was not maintained. Evidence: Upon arrival 20 children were observed in care. 22 children were noted on the attendance sheet. 1 child present during inspection was not listed on the attendance and 3 children anticipated to arrive later in the day were marked present. Plan of Correction: Attendance template and procedures will be updated.
