63.2 Child Abuse and Neglect
The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced complaint inspection on 10/31/17 and another inspection on 11/07/17 in response to a complaint that was received in the licensing office on 10/30/17 regarding allegations in the area of programs,supervision and abuse and neglect. Interviews were conducted with staff , records were reviewed and observations of the program were made relating to the allegation. The information gathered during the investigation does not supports the allegations, so the complaint is determined to be NOT VALID. Other violations were cited not related to the allegations.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-340-A Complaint related: No Description: (founded, not complaint related) Based on interviews with staff and a record review the center failed to ensure when supervising children, staff are always ensuring the care, protection and guidance of he children. Evidence: On 10/26/17 at 4:10pm staff #3 fed the wrong bottle to child #1. As a result child #1 drank child #2's bottle that contained breast milk. Plan of Correction: Administration will ensure proper bottle distribution and will retrain everyone involved on the bottle procedures.
