Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from. to 10:05 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. The following adult to child ratios were observed: Classroom A: 19 children, ages 3 to 5 years old, with 2 staff Classroom B: 17 children, ages 3 to 5 years old, with 2 staff Classroom C: 19 children, ages 3 to 5 years old, with 2 staff Classroom D: 20 children, ages 3 to 5 years old, with 2 staff Classroom E: 15 children, ages 3 to 5 years old, with 2 staff Classroom F: 18 children, ages 3 to 5 years old, with 1 staff (nap time) The records sample size consisted of 12 children?s records. Staff records are housed off site and will be reviewed at a separate inspection. Children were observed playing in learning centers, painting, writing, making purchases with pretend currency, being read to from children's literature, having circle time discussion, playing a teacher-led game on the carpet, washing hands eating lunch (beef stew, green beans, cinnamon apples, rolls and milk) and settling on cots for nap period. Restroom procedures, table sanitizing and food service were also observed. Medication administration was not observed. However, 5 medications were reviewed with regard to labeling, storage, written authorizations and required documentation. Staff reported no accidents or injuries requiring first aid or medical attention this year. Thank you for your time during today's inspection.
