Discussed program leader qualifications, upcoming changes to background checks and updating children's records.
Today an unannounced Monitoring Inspection took place between the hours of 9:50am and 1:30pm. At the start of the inspection there were a total of 44 children with10 staff; all ratios were incompliance. A total of 5 children?s files and 5 staff files were reviewed. The children were observed playing outside, cutting lightbulbs for a Christmas matching activity, playing in the gross motor room and practicing handwriting. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-160-A Description: Based on record review and interview, one staff did not have documentation of a negative Tuberculosis (TB) screening. Evidence: Staff #1 did not have documentation of a TB test on record. The Director stated that this employee has completed her TB screening and has recently transferred to their facility from another facility. Plan of Correction: I've already reached out to this employee. She will get me another copy as soon as possible.
