Technical Assistance:
Information regarding the national finger print background procedures was provided to the Center Administrator. The procedure to review all broadcasts on the Division's web site was also provided.

Comments:
An unannounced Monitoring Inspection was conducted in the Center on December 19, 2017. Total attendance for the day including school-age children was verified at 100. Each group of children was observed as they participated in varied activities. Activities included free play, teacher directed, music, nap time, homework and outdoor play. Staff were engaged with the children. A sample of records was reviewed; 7 staff and 6 children. Medications for 4 children were observed. Reviewed documentation of the Center's annual fire and health inspections was current. Documentation of the practiced emergency drills was reviewed. The physical plant was maintained clean and orderly. Findings of the inspection were reviewed at the exit. The inspection was conducted from approximately 12:50 pm to 5:30 pm. Description: Based on direct observations, staff failed to ensure children's hands were washed with soap/running water or disposable wipes before and after eating meals and snacks. Evidence: The LI observed school-age children eating their afternoon snack, several children did not wash/clean their hands after eating snack and prior to resuming homework and or other activities.

Plan of Correction: Hand washing procedures will be reviewed with staff.
