Thank you for your assistance during the unannounced renewal inspection conducted from 3:00 PM to 5:35 PM. Today, there were eighteen children, ages five through eleven years, with two to three staff after school. It was reported that seventeen children received supervision by two staff before school. I viewed program activities, daily routines, equipment, staffing, supervision, interactions with children, posted information, agency inspection reports, medication, emergency supplies and drill records, injury records, snacks/menu, five records for children, eight staff records, staff qualifications, staff training, and indoor areas. The children enjoyed active play in the gym, table activities, and an art snowman collage activity. Homework assistance has been provided each day. Staff were observed providing frequent interactions with children and adequate supervision. There were no violations with minimum standards at this time. Issuance of a regular two year license will be recommended. Let me know if you need any assistance. 540/430-9259

For compliance history prior to July 1, 2003, or information regarding the status of pending adverse actions, please contact the Licensing Inspector listed in the facility's information. The Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) is not responsible for any errors in or omissions from the compliance history information.Virginia Quality is a voluntary quality rating and improvement system for early care and education facilities serving children ages birth through pre-K.
