Thank you for your time and assistance with the unannounced monitoring inspection conducted today, January 16, 2018. The on- site inspection was from 8:45a.m. to 11:45a.m. On this date, in the three-year-old class, there were 14 children in the care of two staff members. There were a total of 36 children enrolled in the morning preschool program. There were four staff members' records reviewed and five children's records reviewed. Two staff and two children were interviewed. There was no medication on-site or being administrated, which is the policy of the preschool. There were no violations of the licensing standards observed during the inspection. The theme for the month was Snow & Winter and the weekly fingerplay was "Perky Penguins." Snack was observed to meet USDA guidelines. Some items reviewed and observed included: required posted information, first aid and emergency supplies, injury reports, hot water temperature, emergency preparedness plan, arrival procedures, choice time, opening circle, craft time, story time, songs and movement activities, hand washing and bathroom procedures, snack, and dismissal procedures were observed.
