An unannounced monitoring visit was conducted today beginning at 10:00am. The physical space, staff records, children's records and evacuation drills were reviewed. Required documents were posted. Staff/child ratios were in compliance and interactions were positive. The space was clean, organized and contained an abundance of age appropriate materials. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-160-C Description: Based on documentation review, the center did not obtain an updated tuberculosis (TB) tests or screenings for each staff member every two years. Evidence: 1 out of 6 staff records reviewed had an expired TB test. The TB test for Staff #1 expired on 07/27/2017. Plan of Correction: We will ask the staff member to get their TB test right away.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-290-3 Description: Based on observation, the school did not have protective covers on all electrical outlets. Evidence: Protective covers were missing in the Library. Plan of Correction: We will make sure the protective covers are always placed on all electrical outlets.
