Technical Assistance:

Comments:
Thank you for your assistance during today's unannounced monitoring inspection conducted from 11:40 AM to 5:45 PM. Today, there were thirty-eight children, ages infancy through age three years, downstairs with fourteen staff and eighty-eight children, ages two through five years, upstairs with thirteen to fourteen staff. Seventeen school age children were expected to receive supervision with two staff for the evening. I viewed program activities, daily routines, staffing, supervision, interactions with children, diapering procedures, posted information, agency inspection reports, emergency planning, emergency supplies and drill records, injury reports, snack, menu/nutrition, equipment, insurance, agency reports, seven records for children, medication for two children, ten staff records, staff qualifications, staff training, indoor and outdoor areas. There were accessible, age appropriate toys in each classroom for the children. Staff were observed providing attentive supervision and clear directions to children during transitions. Nutritious meals and snacks have been available each day. Staff have participated in regular training opportunities. This center has demonstrated substantial compliance with minimum standards. No violations were cited at this time. Let me know if you have any questions. 540/430-9259
