A monitoring inspection was conducted on 1/31/2018 from 9:45 am until 1:00 pm. At the time of the inspection 23 children were in care with seven staff present. The sample size consisted of five children's records and five staff's records. Children and staff were observed during free play, an educational and artistic activity, nap, bathroom break, and hand washing. The violation from the previous inspection was reviewed for current compliance. No repeat violations were found. The violation found during this inspection is on the attached violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-520-C Description: Based on observation and interview, the staff failed to ensure a diaper ointment was labeled with the child's name. Evidence: A diaper ointment in the locked cabinet in the two's and three's classroom did not have a label with the child's name. Plan of Correction: The diaper ointment was disposed of. Staff will be reminded to make sure diaper ointment is labeled with the child's name.
