Comments:
The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced Subsidy Health and Safety inspection Tuesday, February 06, 2018 from 10:33am to 2:30pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The infants were observed playing on the floor with their teachers and being fed. The toddlers were observed playing with toys, eating lunch and later resting on mats. Lunch today consisted of meatballs, green beans, pineapples and milk. The menu was posted. All classrooms and playgrounds were inspected today. Five children?s records and five employee records were reviewed during this inspection. The center administers medication and it was reviewed. The center's first aid kit and emergency supplies were inspected. Last emergency drill: 01/15/2018 Last Shelter-in-place drill: 05/25/2017 Lockdown drill: 08/22/2017 Last fire inspection: 08/28/2017 Last health inspection: 06/30/2017 Total enrollment today: 34 Today, the following child to staff ratios were observed: Infant I (6 weeks to 12 months) ?11:4 Infant II (12-14 months) ?7:2 Toddler I (14-18 months)-7:2 Toddler II (18-24 months)- 8:2 School Age ?not present A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Description: Based on a review of staff records on 02/06/2018, the center did not ensure that all staff had current certification in first aid. EVIDENCE: Staff #3's first aid certification expired on 02/01/2018.

Plan of Correction: Will get with the program director to schedule within a week.
