Today's visit was complaint investigation initiated as a result of an allegation of a bruise on a child of unknown origin. An allegation was received in the licensing office 1/22/18 regarding a thirteen month old child with a visible bruise at time of pick up on 1/18/18. During the investigation a total of nine staff member's were interviewed. Based on the preponderance evidence during the inspection, there were no violations cited regarding the allegation and the complaint is deemed not valid. A violation was cited during the inspection and was not related to the allegation. Thank you for your time, please call me at 309-2051. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-500-B Complaint related: No Description: Based on the inspector's interviews with seven staff reported as caregiver's during the day of 1/18/18 for a thirteen month old child, the center failed to ensure the child's diaper was changed immediately when wet or soiled. Evidence: Child #1 arrived to the center at approximately 6:45am. Through interviews with all seven caregiver's for this child the first reported diaper change for the child took place at approximately 3:00pm. The child's diaper was not reported as changed for approximately eight hours. Plan of Correction: The PD will review and re-train all staff involved with children who require diaper changes, policies and procedures regarding diaper changing.
