Consultation provided on snack components, fingerprint background checks, time frames for submitting out of state child abuse and neglect background checks.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today with the owner/director. Forty-eight children were present with 6 staff. The children were getting up from nap time and then ate their afternoon snack, which consisted of graham crackers and milk. Two children had emergency medications on site. Six staff and children's files were reviewed. Arrival time: 3 pm Departure time: 5: 05 pm
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-500-A Description: Based on observation, it was determined that staff did not wash hands between diapering children. Evidence: The Licensing Inspector (LI) observed staff fail to wash hands in between diapering three children in the two year old classroom. Plan of Correction: We will remind the staff to wash hands between diapering the children.
