A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on February 28, 2018, to review supplemental health and safety requirements. All classrooms were within the required staff to child ratios. Children were napping during the majority of the inspection. The physical plant, including indoor and outdoor equipment, was inspected. Management and the licensing inspector reviewed the process for fingerprinting. Other discussions included diapering procedures and napping procedures. Families provide their children with snacks and lunches. All current staff are certified in first aid and CPR. Three staff are currently certified in Daily Health Observation. All staff have completed the 10 hour training requirement. Practice evacuation drill: 2/6/18 Practice shelter-in-place drill: 2/6/18 Practice lock down drill: 5/2/17 (required annually) Eight children's records were inspected. Seven staff records were inspected as well as staff from previous inspection requiring updated information. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
