Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 10:00am-11:15am. There were 62 school age children directly supervised by 5 staff. The physical plant, 5 staff certifications, 5 children?s records, 6 medications, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed watching a movie, getting nails painted, playing on electronics and socializing with each other. There was an abundant supply of materials for the children. There was an adequate number of staff with current certification in MAT, CPR and First Aid. Staff-to-child ratios were in compliance. The center was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. If you have any questions regarding this inspection, please contact the Licensing Inspector, Leah Pagala at leah.pagala@dss.virginia.gov or (703) 537-6757.
