22VAC40-191 Background Checks (22VAC40-191)
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on April 25, 2018. The director was present for the inspection. In the Infant Room there were 3 infants with 1 staff. One infant was being held and fed a bottle and 2 were having floor time. There were 5 toddlers with 2 staff in the Toddler Room. The children were playing with toys. In the Two Year Old Room there were 11 children with 2 staff. One child was having a diaper change and the other children and a staff were playing with a parachute. The Preschool Room (3 to 4 years) included 10 children with 1 staff. The children were playing with trucks and in the housekeeping area. In another Preschool Room (4 to 5 years) there were 9 children with 1 staff. The children were playing in activity centers. School age children were not present. Ten children's records were reviewed. Staff records were not reviewed as the records are kept at another location. Two children were enrolled with medications and 2 staff had current MAT certification. Inspection began: 10:00 Inspection ended: 11:15
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-540-C Description: Based on observation, the center did not have all required supplies in first aid kits. Evidence: The first aid kit on the bus did not include triangular bandages. Plan of Correction: The bandages will be added today.
