Technical Assistance:
An exit interview was conducted with the assistant director to discuss the results of today's inspection. Consultation was also given on updated background check regulations.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today, April 27, 2018 to determine the center's compliance with licensing standards. The inspection was initiated at 12:16pm and concluded at approximately 2:30pm. Upon arrival, the following ratios were observed:

Infant room: 3 staff/ 10 children (section 1: 2 staff/7 infants; section 2: 1 staff/ 3 infants)
Toddler room #1: 1 staff/ 9 children (nap time ratio)
Toddler room #2: 1 staff/ 7 children (nap time ratio)
Toddler room #3: 1 staff/ 4 children
Two year old room #1: 1 staff/ 7 children
Two year old room #2: 1 staff/ 7 children
Three year old room #1: 1 staff/ 8 children
Three year old room #2: 1 staff/ 10 children
Four year old room: 1 staff/ 10 children

Children were initially observed sleeping on cots with the appropriate covers. Later children were observed using the restroom and preparing for snack. Today's snack consisted of vanilla wafers and 100% juice. Children's books, toys, and equipment were inspected and found to be age appropriate and in operable condition. All classrooms were inspected to include main hallways and children's restrooms. As a result of yesterday's rain, the outdoor playground was not inspected on this day.

The center had the required items posted in children's classrooms and upon entering the building. The center's first aid kit and emergency supplies were inspected with additional supplies found. Annual health and fire inspections were reviewed and found to be updated. Ten children's records were inspected with the required information found. Staff records could not be inspected on this day. The following was also inspected: medication & authorizations, fire drills, shelter-in-place drills, emergency preparedness plan,parent agreements, and other pertinent information.
