Comments:
Thank you for your assistance during this unannounced monitoring inspection. This on-site visit was conducted on May 2, 2018 from 11:15 a.m. through 1:30 p.m. There were seventy-six children in the care of twelve staff. No medication is being administered at this Areas observed were free choice activity, outside play, infant feeding, diapering procedures, art, lunch and nap. Interactions between children and staff were observed as positive and the children seem comfortable with the daily routine and schedule. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-500-A
Description: Based on observation the staff failed ensure children washed their hands after eating lunch. Evidence: 1. Nine children in classroom #2 had finished eating lunch. 2. The children left the table and went to the block area to play. 3. Nine children did not wash their hands after eating lunch. 4. The staff confirmed the children did not wash hands.

Plan of Correction: Staff be retrained immediately on hand washing procedures.
