22VAC40-191 Background Checks (22VAC40-191)
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 1:45am to 1:15pm. At the time of the tour there were 39 children in care with 6 staff present. The center did not have any medications at the time of inspection. A sample of 2 staff and 3 children's records were reviewed. Children were observed during lunch and during the transition to rest time.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-430-K Description: Based on observation the center did not ensure provision was made for an individual place for each child's personal belongings. Evidence The children's coats and bags for the entire school were hanging on a rack in the hallway. There was not an individual place for each child's belongings. Plan of Correction: The following corrective action was provided by the program director during the exit interview: The center was just approved by the church board to purchase cubbies that will be able to individualized. The cubbies are anticipated to arrive within 2 weeks.
