Comments:

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on March 9, 2020 from 11:20 am to 3:15 pm at the office of Catholic Charities of Eastern Virginia, located in Norfolk, Virginia. This agency reports 22 approved adoptive homes and four provider homes have a placement. The director of adoption and child welfare was present for the inspection and exit interview which commenced on 3/9/2020 at 3:10 pm. During this inspection, three adoptive home (AH) records were reviewed. Background checks for four additional adoptive homes were reviewed. No personnel files for this office were reviewed, as no new staff have been hired since date of last inspection. There were no citations for violations of the Standards for Child Placing Agencies.
