An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on August 29, 2019, from 11:05 pm to 12:30 pm at Catholic Charities of Eastern Virginia, located at 5361-A Virginia Beach Blvd., Virginia Beach, Virginia, 23462. The human resources files for all of the Virginia licensed offices are maintained at this office. There are no birth parent/child or provider home case records kept at this location, although the office is available to conduct any needed child-placing activities. The Director of Adoption Services was available for the inspection and present for the exit interview, which commenced on 8/29/19 at 12:15 pm. During this inspection, two personnel records were reviewed. There were no citations for violations of the Standards for Child Placing Agencies. The licensee should retain a copy of the inspection, to be posted at the facility. Results of the inspection are subject to public disclosure and will be posted on the Virginia Department of Social Services public web site within five business days, regardless of whether or not the Plan of Correction is completed.
