A monitoring inspection was completed on September 18, 2019 from 9:55 am to 10:5 am at Catholic Charities of Eastern Virginia (CCEVA), located in Newport News, Virginia. This office houses the closed records for all the Virginia licensed offices of CCEVA. On occasion, child-placing activities occur at this location but no active client and family records are retained here. The physical office was inspected and is in compliance with 22VAC40-131-50. The agency's license and results of the most recent licensing inspection were posted near the agency's entrance, in compliance with 22VAC40-131-50. A copy of the agency's policies and procedures were available for review, if requested. An acknowledgment form was signed and left with the administrative assistant for Catholic Charities. The exit interview for the CCEVA office in Newport News took place at the CCEVA office in Norfolk, Virginia on 9/18/19 at 2:45pm with the adoptions caseworker. There were no violations of the Standards for Child Placing Agencies. The licensee should retain a copy of the inspection to be posted at the agency. Results of the inspection are subject to public disclosure and will be posted on the Virginia Department of Social Services public web site within five business days, regardless of whether or not the Plan of Correction is completed.
