An unannounced mandated monitoring inspection was conducted on October 10, 2019 from 10:30 am to 3:00 pm at Adoptions From the Heart, located at 1407 Stephanie Way, Suite H, Chesapeake, Virginia. The agency reports 34 families in various stages of the adoption process. Currently, there are eight active birthparent/child cases. The District Supervisor was available for the inspection and present for the exit interview at the end of the day. During this inspection, seven adoptive home records, one birthparent/child record, and two personnel records were reviewed. There were no citations for violations of the Standards for Child Placing Agencies.
