Technical Assistance:

Technical assistance was provided to licensee by phone on May 5, 2020 and by email on May 6, 2020 regarding: (1) methods for ensuring compliance with 22VAC40-131-210: provider training and development, and regarding (2) allowable variances and compliance with 22VAC40-191-40-D-6 for provider home applicants.

Comments:

The licensing inspector conducted a focused inspection in response to a complaint received by the licensing office on May 4, 2020. The investigation occurred by phone on May 4 and May 5, 2020. Interviews were conducted with two ABC Adoption Services representatives and a provider home applicant regarding provider home approval requirements. The information gathered during the investigation did not support the alleged violation, so the complaint is determined "not valid". There are no violations resulting from this inspection. The licensee has five (5) calendar days from receipt of the inspection documentation to sign each page of the documentation and return it to the Licensing Office. The licensee should retain a copy to be posted at the facility. Results of the inspection documentation are subject to public disclosure and will be posted on the VDSS web site within 5 days.
