Comments:

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on May 12, 2022 from approximately 10:10 am to 3:20 pm at the Richmond office of Bethany Christian Services of Virginia. An entrance meeting was conducted with the administrative assistant. The administrative assistant and branch director were available throughout the inspection. The agency reports a total of 39 approved provider homes and 8 children placed. During this inspection, 4 adoptive home records, 1 adoptive child record, and 1 birth mother record was reviewed. Two staff were interviewed during this inspection. The branch director and adoption specialist participated in the exit interview conducted on 5/12/2022 at approximately 2:45pm to discuss inspection findings. An acknowledgement form was left with the branch director. There were no citations for violation of the Standards for Child-Placing Agencies.
