SNAP Employment and Training (E&T)

SNAP E&T is part of Virginia’s workforce development system. It helps people who receive food benefits build job skills, get training and find work.

The goal is simple: help people move toward paid work and long-term stability.

What SNAP E&T Offers

SNAP E&T provides free employment and training support. Services may include:

  • Job search help
  • Resume and interview support
  • Career certificates
  • Adult education
  • Job training and work experience
  • Work or interview clothing
  • Bus passes and gas cards
  • Minor car repairs
  • Work permits or school fees

SNAP E&T is available in 32 local agencies across Virginia.

Funding is limited, so not all areas participate at this time.
