Recent changes to SNAP and Medicaid may affect eligibility for some noncitizens. If you’re unsure how these updates might impact you or your family, the resources below can help you find support.  

  • Our agency's Immigrant Services page provides statewide supports for immigrant Virginians, including information related to employment, housing, healthcare, education and citizenship.   
  • Immigration Advocates Network offers a searchable list of nonprofit organizations in Virginia that provide free or low-cost immigration legal assistance.  
  • The VDSS Office of New Americans helps organizations connect immigrant individuals and families to essential resources, including healthcare, education, workforce development and more. 

Legal Aid Services 

  • Virginia Legal Aid provides legal services to low-income residents, immigrants and refugees of all faiths and nationalities. 
  • Virginia Poverty Law Center provides services to low-income residents and immigrants to help navigate the Virginia legal system.
